Richard Phillips - Senior Instructor
Richard Phillips is the driving force behind the "Fighting Fit Academy" and has been the chief instructor since he founded the club back in 2004. Richard is currently a 3rd Dan Kick boxing, and a first degree Black sash in Kung Fu. He is focused and dedicated to kick boxing and constantly enters some of the most demanding and toughest tournaments from around the world. Richard has won the W.A.K.O. British championships in 2003, 2004, 2005,2009 and 2010.he is the 2005, 2006,2007 and 2009 Cimac Grand Champion and Irish Open Champion in 2005, 2007 and 2010.
Other achievements include representing Great Britain at the World and European Championship Richard is now WAKO World Champion 2009.
His attitude towards kickboxing, and sport in general, quickly rubs off on all of his students and is shown by the amount of dedication and commitment his students give. Richard's training mentality is "Train hard, fight easy" and he encourages students to always push themselves further in their training but never in an overpowering, demanding or aggressive manner. He has helped many beginners flourish and develop into well rounded fighters and balanced students, and is willing to train anyone looking to learn this highly skilled martial art.
Richard is probably one of the best kick boxing trainers in the country, and his students consistently prove themselves as top contenders at competitions and tournaments throughout the world. The "Fighting Fit Academy" name is highly respected within the kick boxing community - all credit to Richard.

David Chapman - Instructor

Along with the light and semi contact tournaments David has excelled in Full Contact tournament fighting. He has fought and won in 2 semi professional fights and claimed the Cimac World Championship gold at the age of just 17. David will be defending his British title in April next year.
David has assisted as an instructor in student lessons and has taken on the responsibility of leading his own weekly class under the "fighting fit academy" name. From his exceptional career David has a wide array of skills that he is willing to teach to anyone, whether they are true martial art beginners or wish to become the next British Champion.
